Watch and save public Snapchat videos

Paste a Spotlight or public story link. You get the video, the name of the creator, and the numbers Snapchat shows publicly: views, likes, shares and comments.

Works with public Spotlight videos and public story links. Private snaps cannot be opened.

How it works

  1. Copy the link

In Snapchat, open a public Spotlight video, tap Share, then choose Copy Link.

  2. Paste it above

Drop the link into the box and press Get video. It usually takes a couple of seconds.

  3. Watch or download

Play the clip in your browser, check the creator and stats, or save the file to your device.

What you can see

Every public Snapchat video has a page with a creator name, a caption and a few counters. SnapPeek reads that page and lays it out in one place, so you do not have to open the app to check who posted a clip or how far it has traveled.

The tool does not need your Snapchat login and it never stores the videos you look up. Each request is fetched, shown to you, and forgotten.

Be kind to creators

People work hard on their videos. Save clips for yourself, give credit when you share, and never repost someone's work as your own. If a creator asks you to take something down, please do.

Questions people ask

Can I view a Snapchat video without an account?

Yes, as long as the video is public. Spotlight videos and public stories are open to anyone with the link, and SnapPeek shows the same public page without asking you to log in.

Why can't I open a private snap?

Private snaps are only meant for the people they were sent to. SnapPeek only reads pages that Snapchat already shows publicly, so private content is never available.

Why are some numbers shown as n/a?

Snapchat decides which numbers appear on a public page. If views, likes or comments are not included in the page, we show n/a instead of guessing.

Can I see the comment text?

SnapPeek shows the comment count. Individual comments are not part of the public page, so we cannot list them.

Is it okay to reuse a downloaded video?

Downloads are meant for personal use, like saving a clip you enjoyed. The video still belongs to its creator, so ask for permission before you repost or use it commercially.

Does it cost anything?

No. SnapPeek is free and works in any modern browser on phone or desktop. Nothing needs to be installed.
